giclee canvas available I did this painting after watching all the Lonesome Dove series (there are 4 Videos) McMurtry focused on relationships and the effects the frontier had on women. I knew a gal, Fay Boulanger, who was a real mountain woman. She could ride and pack as well as any man and had more endurance than most men.

I painted this as a tribute to those frontier and pioneering gals.
