I live twenty miles out of town along the Kiskantinaw river...a green belt. A black bear sow with three cubs...one a cinnamon phase...was on the front yard when I wandered out unaware. She woofed and those three little guys speeded up the first aspen...at least a hundred feet tall and didn't stop till there was no more tree to vlimb...just sky.They stayed up there for a while and finally came a little way down where I could get some photos and sketch them.
An hour later mom called them down and they wandered off...no damage done.
