The Fishing Hole on the Coldbrook

$2200 A few days ago, a friend sent a photo of a huge grizzly that he shot close to the Puggins Road. I guess it shouldn't surprise me but it did. I have hunted the same area for forty year and have encountered many grizzly over that time span...one encounter was the closest call of my life (see the painting "Charlie and the wild cow" for details).

The Coldbrook is a lovely stream that runs right through this area. You can still catch Dolly Varden and Mountain Whitefish in it, although now oil and gas roads have reduced it to a wilderness industrial park.

This painting brought back good memories so I thought I would share it with you.
