giclee canvas available A few years back a local bison rancher discovered the carcass of an alpha bull that had been killed by a grizzly. Pretty exciting stuff. I got to wondering how a bull would do against a wolf pack. In the Pink Mountain area and Wood Bison National Park there are frequent encounters between wolves and bison. Up here, it's routine.

This is my interpretation of such an encounter in the Pink Mountain area. An aside....it blew me away to see large herds of plains bison grazing above timberline on Pink Mountain. The old west lives on...in the north.
